Online Ordering - Setup Instructions

Step by step process of downloading and setting up Persona

Alert: You must disable all firewall and security related software/hardware prior to installing the Persona software

We recommend having a reliable high speed connection (Cable Modem/DSL) for best results.

Go to our website www.atlanticpowerinc.com. Hover over the 4th link from the left "Online Ordering" and click on the link "Place an Order" in the drop-down menu. You must be logged in to view this page.
Clicking on the Persona logo or the "Launch Persona" button under the Persona logo will begin the required download process. The page will change to the "Client Setup Wizard"
Choose the appropriate language (English is the default value) and click "next". You will then be directed to download a thin client. If you have Java enabled on your system, you will see 2 options, Java JDK and the "Windows 32 bit thin client (local)".
Operating System: Windows 95/98/ME/XP/Vista (32 bit version)
Choose: "Windows 32 bit thin client (local)

Operating System: Windows Vista (64 bit version)
Choose: Java JDK (You may have to download the latest version of Java from www.java.com first)

If you use the Java option, it will automatically install and launch Persona. If you are using the "Windows 32 bit thin client (local), proceed to step 4.
Scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on the "Download Now" link. The page turns to "Client Setup Wizard-Final Step".
A small "File Download" box will appear. Choose the "open" or "run from this location" option (depending on your operating system) and click your mouse. The files will now begin the file transfer process. If the "Run" or "Open" option does not appear, click on "Client Setup Wizard" on the left side of the screen and follow the directions on the screen. While seemingly repetitive, this will bypass your local firewall, allowing the process to continue.
After a short time (dependent on connection speed), a small box (Destination Folder) will appear. Click "Next". The "Select Program Folder" box will now open. Click "Next".
The confirm setup box now appears. Click next. Your computer will process the information after a short time, when the "Installation Complete" box will appear. Click "Finish".
When instructed, please return to www.atlanticpowerinc.com and once again, hover over the 4th link from the left "Online Ordering" and click on the link "Place an Order". Once the page loads click on the Persona logo or the "Launch Persona" button under the Persona logo. The system will now initiate the connection to API, prompting you for your username.

Note: If the blue screen darkens, the session has timed out, you will need to re-launch Persona. The time-out period is relatively short, so please enter your account and password promptly.
